We’ve Got Puppies!!

I know my posts are normally about gluten and dairy free eating, but this time, puppies! They are just under 8 weeks old. I have been amazed at how much they have learned in just 2 days. They are Catahoula Leopard Dogs, the state dog of Louisiana. They are a working breed known for dealing with wild pigs and unruly cattle! They are a very loyal, protective, but independent breed. We have our work cut out for us. haha!

In the car on the way home.
Baxter, the male.
Adelyn, the female.
And 2 worn out puppies at home.

I’ll be pet sitting for my son and his wife this coming weekend (yes, I know – I just get new puppies and I have to leave them with my husband for 4 1/2 days to hang out with my “grandpets” Haha!! Anyway, I won’t have a lot to do while I’m there, so I’m planning to absorb all the information I can to make this blog more professional. I really appreciate your patience with my meager beginnings here.

Now for the other big news: In the next few weeks, I’ll be putting together prototypes of dry mixes for this many of my recipes. I’d love to hear what you think about this idea. I’m hoping to do Coffee Cake, Zucchini Bread, Banana Bread (my grandmother’s recipe!), and Chocolate Cake. I am also hoping to do mixes for my cookie recipes. Have a favorite baked dessert or breakfast bread you’d like me to try? Let me know and I’ll see what I can do. Please leave me a comment and I’ll get back with you soon. Keep checking in for a super great giveaway, just in time for the holidays!!

Enjoy this tasty (and safe) treat! It would be a great way to spend a quiet morning, sharing Good Food with Dear Friends.

Until next time,
